– Standup Recap
Big Focus: Fixes, flow, and finding friction!
The team dove deep into usability challenges and polish items across the app experience.
Custom Topics Confusion
Ismail and Amine tackled confusion in the flow when users are adding a custom topic and selecting a group. The current design felt jarring—like a cold handoff—so they're looking to refine the transition and make the experience more cohesive and intuitive.
Call-to-Action Calibration
There was a detailed discussion about the language used on buttons and prompts—particularly the “Add Topic” and “Send Topic” flow. The goal is to use language that aligns with what users actually feel they’re doing, reducing friction and confusion.
App Review Strategy
The team revisited app review prompts and discussed whether prompting during the flow after a user creates a custom topic is the right moment. The consensus: maybe not. They're considering other moments where users feel more accomplished or positive.
Group Selection & Behavior Fixes
The team also flagged a scenario where selecting a group and then pressing back or cancel would unintentionally remove the group selection. They’re planning a fix so that user intent is preserved during these transitions.
